Quality of Service

Quality Assurance at NASI means diligent attention to the client and a demonstrated ability to fulfill our commitments. NASI knows that the customers have many choices and to remain a leader they must perform above and beyond industry standards. Establishing quality at the beginning of a contract and maintaining or improving that quality of service during the contract are of primary importance to NAS when providing an efficient, cost-effective security program. NAS recognizes that, in order to successfully realize consistency of quality, a number of factors require special attention.

These are:
  • Staffing the program at all levels with professionals who have a commitment to quality and a conscious desire to continually excel in the performance of their duties.
  • Providing management and operational support to the security program from all levels of NAS management through an ongoing program of quality control, inspection, and field/administrative support.
  • Establishing at once, compliance with security policies and procedures mandated by the customer and maintaining that compliance at all times.
  • Continually working in a team spirit and effort, with concerned client personnel toward the goal of improving security through cost-effective means.

In addition to a conscious effort by all levels of management to maintain our commitment to quality, NASI has gone a step further and designed a program that is both pro-active and reactive. As an example we have created a "Best Practices" manual, which clearly delineates a delegation of responsibilities for our security officers and their supervisors (attached). This is just one example of the many improvements NASI has made in this industry that is unique to our company.

Supervision and Management of Personnel

As a result of the NASI principals' extensive law enforcement careers with the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) a vast network of former LAPD police officers, supervisors, and managers could be used to help work and manage accounts throughout the United States has been developed. As an example of this, when NASI was awarded a Federal Contract in Gulfport, Mississippi, NASI used its extensive network to find a retired LAPD captain to manage the contract. In the State of Florida for background investigations, NASI is using a retired LAPD commander to manage our investigations in Florida. Our current ties to the law enforcement community will enable us to obtain both active and retired law enforcement personnel to work on any variety of assignments. We will seek out and hire the best possible manager over this account to ensure its success. Locally and Nationally, supervisors and managers are expected to be in the field supporting security officers and meeting with clients to ensure that NASI services are delivered consistently above industry standards and to backfill post vacancies. NASI also has established a cadre of rovers who are available to backfill posts when security officers are unable to report to work. As stated, NASI has a quality control plan that includes managers who ensure that officers know their job responsibilities, look sharp in their uniform, and are delivering courteous service to our clients.

Recruitment and Retention of Personnel

NASI recognizes that the key to successfully staffing contracts is having a robust human resource section that utilizes a variety of methods to attract and retain personnel. NASI has been so successful in staffing its MTA contract that the other two contractors on the contract have suggested that NASI become the primary recruiter for all three contractors. NASI has developed an excellent reputation in the industry and as a result a number of employees who have actually heard through word of mouth from other employees that NASI is hiring, have come to our Carson office for employment NASI’s HR section also utilizes Indeed for a continual recruitment effort in the region. NASI recognizes that security officers do not receive the highest of wages and we offer a company-sponsored medical plan. However. The primary reason that employees enjoy working for NASI is because of the atmosphere that the NASI supervisors and managers have established where the employees are treated with dignity and respect.

Employee Screening

NASI recognizes the importance of hiring the very best employees possible. The company is currently utilizing the investigative arm of NASI, to conduct background investigations. The investigative part of NASI has been in existence for 12 years and it has been principally involved in conducting background investigations for police departments, fire departments, governmental agencies, and corporate clients. Once an employee has been vetted by NASI, the client can rest assured that the new employee will have undergone a stringent background which includes, criminal history, past employment, military background, school checks, social media, and DMV history. This thorough background enables NASI to hire the very best security officers for our clients.

Management Philosophy

When NASI has failed to provide excellent service. NASI has taken responsibility for the failures and righted the wrongs quickly. This includes changes in NASI supervisory personnel, removing ineffective guards or officers and providing plans on how NASI plans to ensure future success at the same location. NASI vows to develop an excellent rapport with your staff and auditors to ensure that information regarding your accounts is current and that you are the customer, are not in the dark when issues arise at your locations. The two principals themselves will be actively involved in the management and administration of your accounts to ensure quick response and implementation of any changes to the contract.

Technology

To ensure the best possible service to our clients, NASI has spent an incredible amount of money on advanced technologies, including patrol watch systems that ensure our guards are inspecting all control points on a routine basis to ensure facility safety and security. The patrol watch system also uses GPS tracking on all of our phones so that if an officer's whereabouts are in question, we can determine his/her whereabouts at any given moment throughout the workday. NASI has invested in cloud services, which allows you the client to see and audit invoices, permits, and security reports. We are also developing a flex software program that tracks each officers training and is capable of supporting tailor-made training modules specific to your accounts.

Current Contracts

NASI currently deploys both armed and unarmed security officers at over 100 separate locations throughout the County of Los Angeles, including the Metropolitan Transportation Authority rail systems, and commercial contracts in the greater Los Angeles Area and in Pasadena. All of our commercial, janitorial and government contracts should provide excellent reviews of NASI’s security performance at their locations.
